Restaurant Supervisor – Another Place, The Lake

Team bus service, shared monthly tips and free paddleboard hire

Offering monthly tips, free paddleboard hire, discounted meals, and free team parking, all on the shores of Ullswater with one unforgettable view.

At Another Place, The Lake, guests come to slow down, reconnect with nature, and spend time doing what they love – paddleboarding across the lake, swimming beneath a full moon, exploring the fells, and sharing great food with friends and family.

Our Restaurant Supervisor Role

We’re looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to support our Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of Rampsbeck, The Living Space, and The Glasshouse restaurants.

Just a one-minute walk from each other, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of three distinct dining experiences. From elegant dining at Rampsbeck to freshly prepared pizzas topped with herbs from our garden at The Glasshouse, every day brings something a little different.

You’ll be friendly, adaptable, and have excellent time-keeping skills, ensuring that our guests continue to enjoy our experience first-class, flawless service.

This is a full-time opportunity offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, giving you the flexibility to choose working days and hours in advance.

As our Restaurant Supervisor you’ll be:

  • Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely, and relaxed yet professional manner.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of our restaurants, alternating between locations as needed.
  • Deputising for our Restaurant Manager, when required.
  • Working with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to optimize all aspects of our food service.
  • Assisting in the ongoing training, development, and performance management of a large team.
  • Managing guest complaints, requests, and enquiries in a relaxed yet professional manner.

  • Helping to create a safe environment for both staff and guests, whilst adhering to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures.

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • A natural decision maker, with a desire to go above and beyond to initiate meaningful moments and memories for our guests and team
  • A well-rounded product knowledge of food and drink
  • A strong customer service ethos, with a keen eye for the small details that make a meaningful impact
  • Effective participation in (and management of) a team
  • High attention to detail
  • A passion for providing the best customer service possible
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
