Role Description

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Ikkayees Indian Restaurant to ensure excellent guest experiences and efficient service. This full-time, on-site role in Liverpool includes:

  • Monitoring food quality and hygiene standards
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff

The manager will handle:

  • Staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
  • Inventory management, placing supply orders, and managing vendor relationships

Duties also include:

  • Overseeing cash handling, basic financial reporting, and cost control
  • Supporting local marketing initiatives
  • Handling guest feedback
  • Upholding the restaurant’s brand standards

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with strong leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Proficiency in daily operations management, including staff scheduling, inventory control, vendor coordination, and basic financial oversight.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues and maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for diverse guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and health and safety standards, preferably within UK restaurant operations.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Liverpool, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams and familiarity with Indian cuisine, especially South Indian and North Indian dishes, is highly beneficial.
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Relevant education or training in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
