RESTORATION SITE MANAGER – 3–4 MONTH CONTRACT

Pay Rate: £250–£270 per day DOE

Our Work Focus
- Restoration: External mansion block repair schemes and internal common-part refurbishment.
- Cladding Remediation: Design and build contracts replacing combustible cladding to residential high-rise buildings.
- Fire Compartmentation: Certified fire door installation, repair and maintenance, as well as compartmentation schemes and installation of fire detection and suppression systems.
A S Ramsay Group is looking for an experienced Restoration Site Manager to join our team on a 3–4 month contract, providing Site Management cover on one of our restoration projects. We are looking for someone who can confidently take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to a high standard.

The Role
Reporting to the Contract Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day management of the restoration project
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
- Planning labour, materials, deliveries and site activities
- Monitoring programme and ensuring project deadlines are achieved
- Managing external repairs, restoration and redecoration works
- Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high standards of quality control
- Managing site Health & Safety and ensuring RAMS are appropriate and followed
- Maintaining accurate site, quality and progress records
- Identifying potential delays, variations and additional works at an early stage
- Coordinating access and logistics within occupied residential properties
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site presentation
- Liaising professionally with clients, residents, consultants, subcontractors and the wider A S Ramsay team
- Supporting snagging, defects and project completion/handover
As the project involves works to residential properties, you will need to understand the importance of resident communication, minimising disruption and maintaining a professional site environment throughout the works.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Manager or similar construction management role
- Strong experience within restoration, refurbishment and/or external repairs
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
- Good knowledge of traditional building construction and restoration works
- Ability to understand drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent quality control and attention to detail
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within occupied residential buildings is highly desirable
Required Qualifications
- Construction based qualification to a level 3-7 to include CSCS Site management, SMSTS, First Aid at work, Asbestos Awareness
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Sound knowledge of building technology
- Ability to plan, coordinate, monitor and record
