Join a Growing Insurance Restoration Team

Dale Building Maintenance Ltd is a well-established regional contractor with over 40 years of experience delivering insurance reinstatement, property restoration, maintenance and major works services across South Wales, the South West of England and beyond.

As part of our continued growth within our Insurance Restoration Department, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Drying Technician to lead and develop our specialist drying and moisture management capabilities across our expanding client base.

We already operate a substantial fleet of our own drying equipment, including Corroventa and Dri-Eaz systems, and are investing in further growth. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to play a key role in shaping and expanding our drying operations whilst working alongside an experienced team of Claims Coordinators, Contracts Managers and Operational Management.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing drying projects from initial attendance through to successful completion and certification, ensuring industry best practice is followed at all times.

You will be required to attend domestic and commercial properties following escape of water, flood, fire and other insured events, undertaking moisture investigations, strip-out activities, drying equipment installation and ongoing monitoring.

This is a hands-on position that requires both technical expertise and excellent communication skills, as you will liaise with policyholders, loss adjusters, insurers and internal stakeholders throughout the drying process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend domestic and commercial properties following insured damage incidents.
  • Carry out moisture mapping and intrusive moisture investigations.
  • Assess the extent of water migration and contamination.
  • Develop and implement drying strategies for properties of all sizes.
  • Remove damaged materials where required to facilitate drying.
  • Install, position and commission drying equipment including:
    • Desiccant dryers
    • Refrigerant dehumidifiers
    • Air movers
    • HEPA filtration equipment
    • Heating systems
    • Corroventa equipment
    • Dri-Eaz equipment
  • Monitor drying progress through regular site visits and moisture readings.
  • Analyse psychrometric data and environmental conditions.
  • Produce drying reports and recommendations.
  • Adjust drying strategies where required to maximise efficiency.
  • Provide technical advice to insurers, loss adjusters and clients.
  • Issue final drying certificates and completion documentation.
  • Ensure all works comply with BDMA best practice and relevant industry standards.
  • Support the development and expansion of Dale Building Maintenance's drying division.
  • Work closely with Claims Coordinators, Contracts Managers and the Operations Manager to ensure outstanding customer service and project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
