Leonard Curtis is looking for an ambitious Insolvency Assistant Manager to take on a genuinely rewarding role in our Manchester team. If you've got at least 5 years' restructuring and insolvency experience, and are ready for real responsibility from day one, we want to hear from you. The applicant should have specific experience working with Administrations.

You’ll play a key role supporting our Senior Manager and Manager in running the Trading and Case Management (“TCM”) team, working directly with Leonard Curtis’ Directors, advising and dealing with stakeholder queries, managing your own caseload while supporting the team’s portfolio of cases, and being a key point of technical and organisational support to the team.

We are a market-leading professional services group with 30 offices across the UK and offshore, built on practical, tailored advice rather than off-the-shelf solutions. Backed by private equity and entering an exciting new phase of growth, this is your chance to build a career at a firm with real momentum, our specialists span restructuring, insolvency, funding and law.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior Manager and Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the TCM team, taking on genuine general management responsibility.
  • Taking ownership of cases once they transfer to the TCM team at approximately 3 months post-appointment (subject to case complexity) and managing the post-appointment period through to conclusion.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of case management processes and workflows.
  • Strong, hands-on experience of the Administration process is essential – covering prepack sales/SIP16 requirements, trading Administrations (desirable but not essential), progress reports, employee matters and claims, pension claims, VAT and corporation tax returns, the dividend process, investigations and case closure requirements.
  • Mentoring junior team members and genuinely investing in their career growth.
  • Building strong relationships through effective stakeholder management.
  • Ensuring rigorous statutory and regulatory compliance across your caseload.
  • Responsibility for additional ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Enjoying real autonomy in your day-to-day decision making.
  • Leading and developing team members.
  • Developing strong relationships with other professionals, both within the group and externally.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
