Restructuring and Insolvency Senior Associate

AJ Chambers are working with a top-tier law firm renowned for its excellent culture, strong career development opportunities, and commitment to its people. They are looking for a Restructuring and Insolvency Senior Associate to join its growing team in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients across a broad range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, including complex restructurings, formal insolvency procedures and contentious insolvency proceedings.
  • Handling insolvency litigation, director and shareholder disputes, recovery actions and other complex commercial disputes.
  • Managing an independent and varied caseload while working closely with partners on significant and high-value matters.
  • Developing legal strategy and providing commercially focused advice tailored to clients’ objectives.
  • Drafting court documents, pleadings, applications and technical legal correspondence.
  • Negotiating settlements and engaging with clients, opposing parties and other stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Attending client meetings, hearings and conferences, and representing clients in contentious matters where appropriate.
  • Instructing and working closely with leading counsel on complex and high-value disputes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider disputes practice to develop strategic and commercially driven solutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with increasing responsibility for client management and case strategy.
  • Gaining exposure to sophisticated and high-profile matters while developing technical expertise, commercial judgment and advocacy skills.
  • Taking increasing ownership of complex matters and contributing to the continued growth of a leading independent City practice.

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with up to 6 year's PQE with strong experience in Restructuring & Insolvency
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn within a specialist area of law
  • Collaborative team player aligned with the firm’s values
