About the Role

We are working with a well-established advisory firm that is continuing to grow its Restructuring Advisory team and is looking to appoint experienced professionals at Associate Director and Director level. This is an opportunity to join a busy and growing practice, advising businesses, shareholders, lenders and other stakeholders through periods of financial and operational uncertainty. The team works across both company-side and creditor-side restructuring, providing strategic advice and practical solutions to businesses facing financial distress, performance challenges or the need to reposition for future growth.

You will work closely with boards, management teams, shareholders, lenders, investors and other stakeholders, helping clients understand their options and develop and implement appropriate restructuring strategies.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad range of restructuring advisory assignments, which may include:

  • Company-side restructuring and turnaround assignments, supporting management teams and shareholders to stabilise and reposition businesses
  • Creditor-side advisory, acting for lenders and other stakeholders to assess financial viability, restructuring options and recovery prospects
  • Independent Business Reviews, options reviews and contingency planning
  • Cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis and short-term funding requirements
  • Restructuring plans, refinancing and negotiations with lenders and other stakeholders
  • Business performance improvement and turnaround planning
  • Financial analysis and assessment of restructuring options
  • Supporting distressed M&A and other value preservation or realisation strategies
  • Managing complex assignments and leading project teams
  • Developing and maintaining senior client and stakeholder relationships
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the restructuring practice
  • Coaching and developing more junior members of the team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

At Director level, there will also be significant scope to lead client relationships, originate work, develop the market and help shape the continued growth of the restructuring advisory team.

  • Experience across either company-side or creditor-side assignments, ideally with exposure to both
  • Strong financial analysis and restructuring experience
  • Experience managing teams and leading client engagements
  • The confidence to work with boards, senior management, lenders and other stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop opportunities
  • An insolvency qualification such as JIEB, or experience in contingency planning, would be advantageous
  • A strong market network would be beneficial, particularly at Director level, although it is not essential
