Restructuring BD Manager / Senior Manager

Description

Join our growing Restructuring & Insolvency team and play a key role in generating new business, developing intermediary relationships and contributing to the delivering of restructuring assignments across Kent and the South East. This is a lead-generation focused role, combining business development with technical restructuring and insolvency work. You’ll maintain and build your own network, work closely with our IPs and wider Kreston Reeves teams, and contribute to the continued growth and strategy of the service line.

About the role

  • Generate new leads and opportunities through your existing network across Kent and the South East.
  • Develop and expand relationships with lawyers, accountants, lenders and other professional advisers.
  • Build and convert your own pipeline of new business and contribute to the team's fee targets.
  • Work closely with IPs to ensure advisory assignments are appropriately scoped, deliverable and managed within budget.
  • Manage and contribute to formal corporate insolvency and advisory assignments, with a focus on strategy and more complex matters.
  • Develop towards taking, or continue to take, formal insolvency appointments.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and colleagues across Kreston Reeves.
  • Contribute to pitches, networking events, presentations and other BD activity.
  • Contribute to the development of team members through co-working and coaching.
  • Contribute to the wider strategy and continued growth of the Restructuring & Insolvency service line.
  • At Senior Manager level, take greater ownership of new business generation, client relationships and service line strategy.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years' experience in restructuring and insolvency, including formal insolvency and advisory assignments.
  • JIEB qualified or a desire to become qualified.
  • An established intermediary network across Kent / the South East and a track record of winning new work.
  • A strong appetite for business development and lead generation, with the drive to grow your network.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience handling a variety of restructuring matters.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets, fees and recovery.
  • Strong client relationship, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing and developing people.
  • A collaborative, proactive and commercially focused approach.
