Restructuring Manager – Real Estate Finance - North West

We are working with an established specialist property lender looking to appoint a Restructuring Manager to manage a small portfolio of stressed and non-performing property finance facilities.

This is a highly hands-on role, taking ownership of cases working through the practical steps required to protect value, complete developments where appropriate and ultimately achieve an exit.

The role

You will manage a small portfolio of non-performing and distressed property-backed loans across bridging and development finance.

Depending on the individual case, this could involve:

  • Taking ownership of stressed and non-performing property finance facilities through to resolution.
  • Working with borrowers to agree realistic restructuring, recovery and exit strategies.
  • Liaising closely with administrators, LPA receivers, solicitors and other professional advisers.
  • Managing partially completed developments, working with contractors and professional teams to get projects completed where this represents the best recovery strategy.
  • Overseeing the sale of completed properties, including liaison with estate agents and conveyancers.
  • Managing practical issues arising through the sales and recovery process, including post-sale matters.
  • Assessing security, recovery prospects and potential impairment throughout the life of a case.
  • Providing clear recommendations and updates to senior Credit stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need to come from a dedicated restructuring team. We would be particularly interested in speaking with experienced Property Finance Portfolio Managers, Credit Managers or Recoveries/Restructuring professionals who have dealt with stressed or distressed property loans and understand what it takes to manage a difficult case through to exit.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Strong UK property finance experience, ideally across bridging and/or development finance.
  • Exposure to stressed, distressed or non-performing lending.
  • Experience dealing with LPA receivers, administrators and professional advisers.
  • A practical understanding of development projects and the issues that can arise when a scheme gets into difficulty.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to make recommendations on recovery strategy.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and take genuine ownership of an outcome.
