Shakedown is a Manchester-born smash burger and shakes brand, and we're growing fast. We're looking for a hands-on, commercially sharp Store Manager to take full ownership of our Cheadle Hulme store: running the floor, leading the team, and driving the numbers.

This is a role for a proven Store Manager or a strong Assistant Manager ready to step up into a site of their own. You'll live and breathe great service, keep a tight grip on the P&L, and lead a team that people actually want to work in.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the store's sales performance, hitting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Manage labour as a percentage of sales through smart rota planning and forecasting
  • Control food cost, gross profit and waste, keeping stock, ordering and portioning tight
  • Set and maintain the standard for service, speed, quality and cleanliness on every shift
  • Protect and grow our online reputation across Google and delivery platforms
  • Recruit, onboard, train and develop a high-performing team
  • Coach, motivate and manage performance, including reviews and any formal process
  • Keep the store fully compliant with food safety, hygiene (EHO) and health & safety standards
  • Ensure cash handling, banking and till reconciliation are accurate and secure
  • Handle tips fairly and transparently in line with current UK rules

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
