JOB TITLE: Retail Account Manager/ National Account Manager
Retail / Consumer Technology
LOCATION: West Drayton / Hybrid

Are you an experienced Retail Account Manager with a strong background managing major UK retail or e-tail customers within the technology or consumer electronics market?
We are recruiting for a leading global technology business looking for an experienced National Account Manager to develop and maximise profitable business across a portfolio of key UK & Ireland retail and e-tail accounts.
This is a highly commercial role where you’ll take ownership of your customer relationships and account strategies, driving sales growth, margin, market share, product ranging, availability and both sell-in and sell-out performance.
JOB SPECIFICATION: Retail Account Manager
As Retail Account Manager, you’ll develop short, medium and long-term strategies for your nominated accounts, identifying opportunities for profitable growth and building strong relationships across buying, category, merchandising, marketing and senior management teams.
Working closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance, you’ll ensure your customers have the right product mix, commercial proposition and promotional strategy to maximise performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing strategic and quarterly account plans aligned to sales and commercial objectives.
- Growing revenue, units, margin, market share and sell-in/sell-out performance across your nominated accounts.
- Building strong relationships with retail and e-tail customers across buying, category, merchandising, marketing and senior management.
- Leading commercial discussions around product ranging, pricing, promotions, investment, stock and inventory.
- Identifying the optimum product mix and securing appropriate ranging, visibility and promotional support for key products and launches.
- Monitoring weekly sales, stock, inventory and sell-out data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Managing forecasting and working closely with internal teams and distribution partners to maintain healthy stock and product availability.
- Monitoring competitor products, pricing and promotional activity and using market insight to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal UK and EMEA teams to successfully deliver customer and wider business strategies.

REQUIREMENTS: Retail Account Manager
We are looking for a commercially driven Retail Account Manager with strong knowledge of the UK & Ireland retail channel and proven experience managing significant retail or e-tail customer relationships. Customers such as John Lewis, Euronics, EE, Harvey Norman and N Brown.
You’ll ideally have experience within the PC, technology, consumer electronics, multimedia or general merchandising market, with a strong understanding of how to successfully manage and grow retail accounts.

You’ll need experience across account planning, sales forecasting, pricing, promotional planning and inventory management, combined with excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Experience working directly with retail buying, category, merchandising or commercial teams is particularly important. Alternatively, candidates who have worked within a retail buying, category management or merchandising environment and have strong commercial experience will also be considered.
You’ll be analytical and commercially astute, comfortable using sales and stock data to make decisions, while also being proactive, resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
