I'm working with one of the UK's most respected independent retail property consultancies as they look to appoint an Associate Director or Director to join their growing London team.
This is a business that has built an exceptional reputation advising many of the country's leading institutional landlords, REITs and private investors across shopping centres, retail parks and outlet schemes. They are a trusted adviser on some of the UK's most recognisable retail assets.
With instructions continuing to grow across a portfolio of 300–400 assets nationwide, they're now looking for someone to work closely with one of their senior retail specialists on a number of flagship leasing mandates.
The role
You'll become part of a close-knit client team, working directly alongside landlords, asset managers and ownership teams on high-profile retail instructions across the UK and Ireland.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The portfolio includes a mix of:
- Shopping Centres
- Retail Parks
- Outlet Schemes
Rather than being tied to a geographical patch, you'll become deeply embedded with a number of key clients, leading leasing negotiations, attending landlord and tenant meetings, and becoming a trusted face of the account.
They're looking for someone confident enough to chair lease meetings with senior client stakeholders and build relationships that go far beyond transactional agency.
About you
They're flexible on level, but ideally you'll be operating around Associate Director or junior Director level, with experience in one or more of:
- Shopping Centre leasing
- Retail Park leasing
- Outlet leasing
If you've specialised in one of those sectors rather than all three, they're still keen to speak.
More important than title is personality. They're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is commercially confident, and wants to be part of a business where everyone has a genuine voice.

Why this opportunity stands out
This isn't a traditional corporate environment. The business operates with a genuinely collaborative culture, and has a good track record in attracting high-performing retail agents who've joined from larger firms.
The interview process is refreshingly informal - more conversation than interrogation - and gives candidates a real opportunity to meet the wider team and get a feel for the culture.
If you're currently in retail agency and looking for a company in which you'll work on market-leading instructions, have genuine client exposure, and become part of a business with a long-term ownership story, I'd love to have a confidential conversation.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
