Do you want to play a key role in the regeneration of UK town and city centres while taking ownership of a portfolio of shopping centre assets?

Through our vertically integrated model, we manage every aspect of the real estate lifecycle in-house, giving our teams the opportunity to make decisions, drive change and see the direct impact of their work.
We are looking for a Retail Asset Manager to join our Development and Regeneration team, taking responsibility for a portfolio of Local Authority-owned shopping centres across the UK.
This is not just a traditional asset management role.
You will work closely with Local Councils, internal teams and occupiers to shape the future of retail destinations, helping to deliver regeneration strategies that create stronger, more vibrant town and city centres.
You will have ownership of your assets, responsibility for delivering business plans and the opportunity to influence everything from leasing strategy and income growth to ESG initiatives, placemaking and capital projects.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering asset business plans across a portfolio of shopping centres
- Driving rental growth, reducing voids and maximising net operating income
- Leading lease renewals, rent reviews, regears and lettings activity
- Identifying new income streams and asset enhancement opportunities
- Working with Local Councils to support wider regeneration ambitions
- Leading refurbishment, reconfiguration and placemaking initiatives
- Taking ownership of asset P&Ls and service charge budgets
- Working closely with Property Management, Facilities Management and Centre Management teams
- Delivering ESG, sustainability and community initiatives
- Producing high-quality reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and Local Authority clients
- Supporting acquisitions, disposals and tender opportunities where required

What we’re looking for:
This role requires direct UK shopping centre asset management experience.
We are specifically looking for candidates who have:
- UK shopping centre asset management experience (essential)
- A strong foundation in Property Management and/or Asset Management
- Experience working with retail assets in an operational environment
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Experience managing demanding stakeholders and client relationships
- Strong financial awareness, including budgets, income and service charges
- The ability to think creatively about regeneration, placemaking and repurposing assets
- A proactive, resilient and entrepreneurial approach
Experience working with Local Authorities, or an understanding of council-led regeneration projects, would be advantageous.
