Retail Asset Manager
A unique and rare opportunity working for a high-end, historic but forward-thinking, sought-after private property company. They are seeking an energetic and proactive Retail Asset Manager to join their close-knit property team based in the West End. The role will be to support a Senior Asset Manager in delivering all aspects of Asset Management across a varied Retail and F&B Portfolio. The role includes leasing, lease regearing, refurbishment, and redevelopment projects and also assisting colleagues with asset management on the office portfolio when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong occupier relationships, meeting regularly to understand their future plans and demand for space. Where possible and desirable, keep spaces occupied.
- Deliver long-term sustainable rental growth whilst fulfilling the Vision, Objectives, and Leasing Strategy for the neighborhood.
- Advise on refurbishment projects from a leasing and asset management perspective, working collaboratively with the Design and Development team.
- Lease vacant property as opportunities arise, proactively targeting occupiers that align with Leasing Strategy.
- Lead rent review, lease renewal, and lease re-gear negotiations.
- Manage consultant relationships ensuring they prioritize our work and evaluate their performance as needed to meet objectives.
- Work closely with managing agents to ensure they provide an excellent level of service and deliver efficient and sustainable buildings.
- Assist the Finance team to build annual budgets for the portfolio and cash flow forecast. Monitor performance against the agreed strategy for each asset.
- Support the annual valuations for the properties, providing relevant information to external valuers.
- Provide support to the Senior Asset Manager and Property Director.

Candidate Profile:

- At least 3-5 years of PQE experience in a similar/relevant role.
- A good understanding of commercial and residential property in Central London or another major UK city. Specific experience in the retail property market is required.
- Good networking skills and a desire to be ‘market-facing’.
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of retail and F&B brands/market trends.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key business stakeholders and external advisors.
