Food Service Assistant – [DEA10348] (Chichester, PO19 1SB)

About the Role
Aramark UK is currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for basic food preparation, including the making of sandwiches and grab-and-go foods, alongside front-of-house duties, operating tills, and providing excellent customer service to our customers.
We’re committed to safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children and young people, so all roles include safer recruitment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS clearance in line with KCSIE.
This is a term-time only (32-week) position, with permanent opportunities available upon completion.

Job Responsibilities
- Operating the till – processing cash and card transactions, upselling products, and providing outstanding customer service.
- General cleaning – maintaining food preparation zones, operating Starbucks machines, sweeping, mopping, and rubbish disposal.
- Stock management – rotating and stocking food daily, ensuring proper dating and facing of product displays.
- Order & stock take assistance.
- Packaging and labelling hot food for customer service provisions.

Key Requirements
- Previous catering experience preferred (but not essential)
- Customer service experience required
- Ability to work well in a team
