Job Title: Shopfloor Associate

Department Name: Retail

Reports to: Retail Manager

Overview

Oxford Street is about to become home to a flagship shop that redefines the retail experience. Our official Harry Potter Shop will blend iconic storytelling with world-class retail standards, creating a destination that delights fans from around the world.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associates to bring this experience to life on the shopfloor every day. In this role, you’ll be the face of the store — welcoming customers, delivering memorable service and working at pace to keep the shop running smoothly during busy trading periods.

Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street sits alongside world-class attractions and retail experiences including Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo, Harry Potter Shop King’s Cross, and flagship stores in New York, Chicago and Harajuku.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, friendly and engaging customer service, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and valued.
  • Create memorable, personalised experiences that inspire customers to return again and again.
  • Engage customers confidently, offering product knowledge and assistance to support their visit.
  • Maintain high shopfloor standards, ensuring products are well presented and the environment is clean and inviting.
  • Work with pace and efficiency to replenish stock and maintain product availability throughout the day.
  • Support back-of-house activity, including delivery processing, stock organisation and replenishment.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities during busy periods, remaining calm and positive at all times.
  • Follow all health & safety, loss prevention and cash handling procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Passion for delivering great customer service.
  • Positive, friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Willingness to work across shopfloor and back-of-house areas.
  • Retail experience is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, on a seven-day rota including weekends and Bank Holidays. Store opening hours are between 9am and 10pm.
