Retail Brand Ambassador (Scottish Brand)/ Store Host - Edinburgh Royal Mile

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Retail Brand Ambassador / Store Host to join our well-established client based on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, outgoing, and charismatic individual who enjoys meeting new people, creating memorable customer experiences, and encouraging visitors to explore everything the store has to offer.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a Retail Brand Ambassador, Store Host or Promotions Assistant.

Rates Of Pay

  • £14.00 per hour
  • Weekly pay

Shift Pattern

  • Any 5 days from 7
  • Operating hours between 9:00am and 9:30pm
  • Full shifts or split shifts may be available for the right candidate

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as a Retail Brand Ambassador / Store Host are:

  • Acting as the welcoming face of the store
  • Approaching and engaging with passing tourists and visitors
  • Starting conversations and creating a positive first impression
  • Encouraging visitors to enter the store
  • Generating footfall and customer interest
  • Creating a friendly, welcoming, and authentic Scottish experience
  • Answering basic customer questions and directing customers appropriately
  • Working closely with the retail team to maximise customer engagement
  • Maintaining a visible and welcoming presence outside the store
  • Representing the brand professionally at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Retail Brand Ambassador / Store Host, you will need:

  • A confident, outgoing, and approachable personality
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create an authentic and engaging Scottish visitor experience
  • The confidence to approach and speak with members of the public
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with a wide range of people
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to remain professional and engaging throughout the day
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A willingness to work outdoors for periods throughout the day
  • The ability to wear traditional Scottish tweed attire provided by the client
  • A reliable and professional approach to work
