Role Description
The Retail Buyer at Caramel London is a full-time, on-site role based in London. This role is responsible for selecting and purchasing products across childrenswear, womenswear, and homewares, ensuring alignment with the brand’s aesthetic, quality standards, and commercial objectives. The Retail Buyer will collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and retail teams to optimize product mix, support seasonal launches, and maximize sell-through across stores and channels. The role also involves:
- Monitoring competitor activity
- Contributing to pricing and promotional decisions
- Preparing regular reports to support strategic buying decisions
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, forecast demand, and make data-driven buying decisions.
- Retail buying and purchasing experience with a focus on fashion or luxury goods, ideally across multiple categories.
- Inventory management skills to plan assortments, manage stock levels, and support timely replenishment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
- Experience in luxury or premium retail environment is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with Excel and retail planning or ERP systems.
- Ability to work on-site in London, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant education in business, fashion merchandising, retail management, or a related field is preferred.
