We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Retail CAD Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Retail CAD Technician to join our store support team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply CAD expertise within a retail environment, creating accurate plans and technical drawings that support store layouts, fixtures, and visual merchandising projects. The role requires strong communication, organisation, and the ability to work collaboratively with store teams and external suppliers.
Main Responsibilities for Retail CAD Technician
- Produce accurate CAD drawings, floor plans, elevations and technical details for new store fits, refits and visual merchandising projects
- Translate design briefs and site surveys into buildable drawings and specification packs
- Coordinate with store operations, project managers and contractors to ensure drawings meet operational and health & safety requirements
- Prepare and issue technical documentation, schedules and material lists for procurement and installation
- Maintain and update CAD drawing libraries, templates and drawing standards
- Review and check contractors’ drawings for compliance with company standards and provide technical guidance where required
- Support on-site visits and surveys when necessary, recording accurate site measurements and conditions
- Assist with resolving technical queries during installation and post-install snagging
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, building codes and company policies

Retail CAD Technician Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience producing technical CAD drawings (AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent)
- Experience working with retail or fit-out projects desirable
- Good understanding of construction principles, joinery and shopfitting practices
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, dimensioned drawings
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, contractors and suppliers
- Organised approach to work, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience maintaining CAD libraries and drawing standards
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to stores for surveys and site visits

Working Hours and Location
- Full-time position, with standard office hours; some flexibility required for site visits and project deadlines
- Hybrid working available (2x days in Accrington support centre)
