Retail Concession Sales Associate (20 Hours per Week)

Location: Birmingham (Selfridges)
Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026
Hours: 20 hours per week

About the Team

Our Direct-to-Consumer Retail team creates exceptional brand experiences in premium retail environments. We bring Diageo's world-renowned portfolio to life through expert product knowledge, memorable customer interactions, and outstanding service that reflects the quality of our brands.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and customer-focused Retail Concession Sales Associate to join our Selfridges Birmingham concession on a fixed-term contract until the end of the year.

In this role, you'll be the face of our luxury drinks portfolio, creating memorable experiences for customers while driving sales and building lasting relationships. Working closely with the Retail Concession Manager, you'll help deliver exceptional service, maintain premium retail standards, and bring our iconic brands to life every day.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor
  • Understanding customer needs and providing personalised product recommendations
  • Building strong customer relationships that encourage loyalty and repeat purchases
  • Achieving individual sales targets and contributing to overall concession performance
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance sales through effective product recommendations
  • Becoming a knowledgeable ambassador for Diageo's premium and luxury brand portfolio
  • Supporting in-store events, activations and promotional activities
  • Maintaining high visual merchandising standards across the concession
  • Assisting with stock management, replenishment activities and inventory checks
  • Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and positively
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day retail operations

You'll have the opportunity to develop your luxury retail, customer engagement and sales skills while gaining exposure to a portfolio of globally recognised brands.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have

  • Experience in a retail, hospitality, luxury, or customer-facing sales environment
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working towards sales targets and performance goals
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, positive approach and a willingness to learn about premium products and brands
