Role Description
The Retail Designer is a full-time hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing retail design concepts
- Creating layout plans
- Producing detailed drawings and presentations for client review
- Space planning for retail environments
- Selecting materials and finishes
- Coordinating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent is maintained during construction

The Retail Designer will collaborate with internal teams and clients to:

- Refine design solutions
- Prepare visual merchandising guidelines
- Support branding and signage design
Regular tasks also include:
- Attending site visits
- Documenting design requirements
- Updating project documentation to support smooth project delivery
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Retail Design and Retail experience, with a strong portfolio of store or commercial environment projects.
- Proficiency in Space Planning for retail interiors, including circulation, fixture layout, and customer flow optimization.
- Skills in Interior Design, including concept development, materials selection, and integration of brand identity into physical spaces.
- Experience in Graphic Design related to retail environments, such as signage, wayfinding, and in-store visual communication.
- Strong proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar CAD software, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other 3D tools).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design ideas clearly to stakeholders.
- Relevant education in Interior Design, Architecture, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards for retail fit-outs in the United Kingdom is beneficial.
