Are you a proactive sales and business development professional with deep experience in the convenience and wholesale retail sector? Our client is seeking an energetic Retail Development Manager to join, lead territory growth, and help independent retailers unlock their full commercial potential.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Business Development: Identify, prospect, and recruit new independent retailers across your assigned territory.
  • Guide Retail Growth: Consult with store owners to improve range management, store standards, and core promotional compliance.
  • Build the Pipeline: Guide retailers through a structured development journey—taking them from new customers up to symbol store status.
  • Activate Supplier Initiatives: Sell in supplier product launches, core range strategies, and promotional campaigns at the store level.
  • Manage Your Territory: Take complete ownership of your region, maintaining structured pipeline records and prioritising high-potential opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong, practical knowledge of the convenience, symbol group, or wholesale sector.
  • Prior business development experience, ideally working with a symbol operator.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A hands-on, consultative approach to store layout, merchandising, and retail execution.
  • Strong territory planning ability and willingness to travel regularly.
