Based in Birmingham, the company stocks over 16,000 products from more than 200 well-known household brands. Lioncroft Wholesale serves retailers, restaurants, takeaways, cafés, and other businesses through both Click and Collect and delivery services. With over 50 years of experience in the food and drink sector, the company focuses on reliable service, strong supplier relationships, and consistent value for its customers.
Role Description
The Retail Development Representative is a full-time role based in Birmingham. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with retail customers, understanding their needs, and promoting suitable product ranges and offers. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Visiting and engaging with existing and potential retail accounts
- Presenting product information and promotions
- Supporting customers with ordering and merchandising advice
- Monitoring sales performance
- Identifying growth opportunities in assigned territories
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and service quality
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions
- Preparing simple reports on market trends and competitor activity
- Representing Lioncroft Wholesale professionally at all times

Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail, wholesale, field sales, or account management, preferably within the food and drink sector
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills, including the ability to present products and negotiate with diverse trade customers
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with experience planning customer visits, managing routes, and maintaining accurate records
- Basic commercial and analytical skills, such as understanding margins, promotions, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities
- Comfort using digital tools and systems, including order platforms, CRM or customer databases, email, and standard office software
- Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to visit customers in Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of local retail and hospitality markets is an advantage; prior experience with food and drink product ranges is beneficial
