Retail IT Business Analyst

Quest Search & Selection are partnering with a well-established, multi-site retail business to recruit a Retail IT Business Analyst. The role combines business analysis, project delivery and application support across key business functions, bridging business and technology teams to deliver effective solutions and continuous improvement.

An exciting opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing transformation of the retail technology systems of a well-established fashion and footwear business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support projects and enhancements across Oracle Cloud and retail applications.
  • Document system changes, functionality and business processes.
  • Coordinate testing and develop reusable test scripts.
  • Manage system releases, impact assessments and issue resolution.
  • Provide day-to-day application support and troubleshoot critical incidents.
  • Support IT governance, change and release management.
  • Maintain system documentation, user guides and procedures.
  • Deliver user training and develop training materials.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and implementation partners.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Work within Agile delivery frameworks.

Requirements

  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience supporting and analysing retail business applications, preferably within a fashion, footwear or wider retail environment.
  • Experience across Business Analysis, IT project delivery and Application Support, ideally involving Oracle Cloud or similar retail systems.
  • Good understanding of retail operations, including buying, merchandising, warehousing, store operations, finance and POS systems.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, documenting processes, mapping workflows and translating business needs into system improvements.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications and SaaS solutions, with an understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and system testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience troubleshooting application issues, supporting system upgrades and coordinating resolutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across IT and business teams, facilitate workshops and manage multiple priorities.
