Role Overview
As a Retail Manager, you will step out from behind the desk and onto the shop floor to act as a visionary leader for your store. You will take full operational and commercial ownership of your assigned department, driving high standards, supporting team performance, and ensuring a seamless, high-energy environment for customers every single day.
Reporting directly to the Store Manager, your main objective is to deliver outstanding operational performance, maintain excellent product availability and visual standards, and coach your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop People: Inspire, coach, and support the ongoing development of department supervisors, sales assistants, and team members.
- Maintain High Visual Standards: Lead sales floor setup and visual merchandising, ensuring products are showcased to drive customer engagement.
- Drive Commercial Performance: Take ownership of department sales targets, inventory control, waste management, and labour allocation to maximize profitability.
- Ensure Operational Compliance: Maintain top-tier safety standards, store policies, and regulatory compliance across all assigned areas.
- Elevate Customer Experience: Build a welcoming store atmosphere by encouraging your team to proactively engage with customers and resolve inquiries efficiently.

About You
Whether it's previous experience working in the retail industry or you have experience in hospitality, the service industry or travel & tourism, if you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service then we want to hear from you.
Requirements
- Experience of managing a team in a fast-paced environment
- You will need to be a great communicator who can share knowledge, experience, and best practices
- You will need to have the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all areas whilst remaining flexible
- You must be adaptable to change, whilst being able to challenge effectively
- As a Manager, you will actively listen to and respond effectively to customers and colleagues
