Tikkurila UK, a leading paint production and distribution business, is seeking a commercially astute and experienced individual to take on a leadership role in our “Shop-in-Shop” store unit.
About the Role
This is an exciting role for an experienced sales assistant or assistant store manager with a background in the paint sector looking for a new challenge.
You will be responsible for delivering first-class customer service with a commitment to going above and beyond to meet expectations and drive results.
The role is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday). In return, we are offering you a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day store operations
- Process rapid delivery orders (less than 2-hour service), handle in-store orders, and manage requests from head office
- Mix paint and maintain standards in-store and on machines
- Assist with tasks related to our last-mile delivery solution
- Monitor targets, profits & losses
- Form close partnerships with key customers
- Manage stock & customer accounts
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets
- Inspire first-class customer service and actively engage in proactive customer outreach during downtime
- Demonstrate a commitment to going above and beyond to make a customer’s day

What we are looking for/requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the paint sector
- Proven experience in retail management with a consultative sales approach
- Confidence in using a computer and proficiency in numbers
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Organised and self-motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
