Overview

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes in Retail Media at Screwfix.

We’re growing our Retail Media proposition and looking for a Retail Media Ad Ops Specialist to help shape how we deliver and optimise our onsite campaigns.

You’ll work across Sponsored Products, Banners and Brand Pages, taking campaigns from brief through to launch and making sure they’re set up correctly, run smoothly and are optimised to deliver against their goals.

But this isn’t just about keeping campaigns moving.

You’ll work closely with our ad tech partners while helping us build and evolve the capability, processes and ways of working that will support the continued growth of Screwfix Media Partnerships.

That means there’s plenty of opportunity to get stuck in, solve problems, improve how things work and have a real say in how our ad operations capability develops.

We’re looking for someone with experience in Ad Operations, Ad Tech, ad trafficking or campaign optimisation who understands how digital campaigns are set up, managed and optimised.

What's in it for you?

  • Discretionary annual bonus up to 20%
  • 33 days' holiday (including bank holidays, 5 of which can be taken flexibly)
  • Hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home (must be comfortable travelling to our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington, London when required)
  • Flexible start and end times around core working hours
  • Buy More Holiday - eligible colleagues can boost their holiday allowance by up to one extra week
  • EV Car Scheme in Partnership with Tusker - eligible colleagues can lease a brand-new or pre-loved electric vehicle
  • Up to 14% employer pension contributions
  • Life cover up to 4x your salary
  • Health cash plan and discounted gym memberships (up to 25% savings)
  • 20% discount at Screwfix and B&Q

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure that all secured marketing briefs are processed on time for the wider stakeholder matrix to deliver required deliverables
  • Become technical subject matter expert on ad technology at Screwfix, understand how sponsored product, banner and brand page campaigns are set up and optimised
  • Take an onsite campaign from brief to execution for our core onsite inventory of sponsored product, banners, brand pages, then optimise performance of campaigns in-flight
  • Traffic, monitor, and optimise digital campaigns, ensuring accurate setup, smooth delivery, effective troubleshooting, and delivery against campaign objectives and KPIs.
  • Own future looking plans for media execution from a creative perspective, ensuring that deadlines are met and key stakeholders are updated, engaged, and prompted as required/agreed
  • Be proactive in looking for ways to improve processes, be that briefing, delivery or evaluation – share ideas for endorsement with Retail Media Operations Manager and implement agreed changes in conjunction with others
  • Develop and manage partnerships with our current ad tech platform provider, driving collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Support the launch on new on-site media opportunities
  • Support the function by identifying challenges in process and pushing for automated/templated solutions to fix these, ensuring Retail Media budgets are met
  • Understand the importance and urgency of multiple requests to ensure the function delivers to its’ customers
  • Escalate risks and process issues where required to Line Manager
  • Actively work on agreed objectives and personal development plan for continuous improvement and contribution to the delivery of key functional objectives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
