Customer Analytics Analyst
Southampton (Hybrid, 1 day per week) | £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
This is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Analytics Analyst to join a growing analytics function within a large, customer-focused business. Sitting at the intersection of customer analytics, CRM, campaign measurement and retail media, you'll play a key role in shaping how customer and marketing performance is understood and optimised across multiple channels.

They are a well-established consumer business with a large and engaged customer base, operating across both digital and physical channels. Data plays a central role in decision-making, creating a rich environment for customer analytics, campaign measurement and audience strategy. The analytics team is highly visible within the organisation and partners closely with marketing, CRM and commercial stakeholders to drive measurable business outcomes.
The Role
As a Customer Analytics Analyst, you will focus on customer behaviour, campaign performance and audience analytics across CRM, loyalty and retail media activity.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering customer and marketing analytics to uncover insights into customer behaviour and commercial performance
- Measuring campaign effectiveness through incrementality testing, uplift analysis, ROI measurement and sales impact assessment
- Building, evaluating and refining customer audiences and segmentation strategies for marketing and retail media activation
- Producing clear, actionable insights that influence campaign design, targeting strategies and business priorities
- Monitoring and analysing customer health metrics including acquisition, engagement, frequency, retention, churn and customer value
- Partnering with marketing and business stakeholders to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Supporting experimentation and testing frameworks to improve campaign and customer outcomes

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to work confidently with large customer datasets
- Experience using data visualisation tools to communicate insights effectively
- Commercial experience working with customer analytics and CRM data
- Strong understanding of campaign measurement across multiple marketing channels
- Experience designing and evaluating marketing or CRM campaigns
- Knowledge of statistical methodologies including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals and significance testing
- Experience working within a customer-centric environment with high volumes of transactional or behavioural data
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks or similar technologies is beneficial
- Ability to explain technical findings to a non-technical audience and influence decision-making
