We’re Ocado Retail, a market-leading joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S, and the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket, ocado.com. Not only is Ocado the only place to shop a full range of M&S food online, it’s also the home to the widest online supermarket range in the UK and champion of small, independent brands. We’re also the brains behind Zoom by Ocado, our same-day grocery delivery service.
About the team and the role
Ocado Ads is undergoing an exciting transformation as we launch our new UK retail media network. This Retail Media Manager is a critical leadership position, responsible for shaping and scaling the media planning function, with a specific focus on working with really exciting Soft Drink and Beers, Wines & Spirits accounts.
You will act as the specialist and lead across the full media mix from brand to performance, powered by insights, ensuring we execute and deliver a new, value-driven operating model for our suppliers and commercial teams.
You will use both analytics and commercial acumen to steer your portfolio of clients and business partner with our internal commercial teams to ensure media plans deliver profitable outcomes. Critically, you will also develop and manage a media partner, own the overall revenue targets for your portfolio, and be a pivotal leader in developing our market-leading retail media and data proposition, always enhancing the customer experience.
What you’ll do
Commercial Planning & Client Ownership
- Drive and generate advertising revenue through a consultative sales approach, through strategic delivery of media and data within commercial terms and unlocking incremental revenue streams.
- Pitch and generate revenue of the Beet Insights platform, through consultative selling.
- Business partner with commercial teams to ensure supplier media plans are delivering defined commercial outcomes and strong campaign performance.
- Hold accountability and management of the retail media investment and revenue targets for the supplier portfolio under your remit.
- Advise and guide suppliers to create strong media plans that help deliver against brand, Ocado, and Customer objectives, across the Ocado Ads portfolio.
- Be able to pitch compelling, customer-first media plans that are linked to the suppliers’ strategic goals, across the full Ocado Ads portfolio, on and offsite.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
