Retail Media Manager, Consumer Products Division

I am the AMAZON MEDIA MANAGER and I am responsible for defining and implementing the Amazon media strategy across several of CPD’s biggest brands and categories.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Own the Amazon media budget for some of CPD’s biggest brands and categories and be responsible for implementing priorities by making strategic investment decisions based on business priorities, consumer insights, and media best practices to secure sales targets.
  • Allocate and optimise media spend to drive performance across media levers (Search, DSP Prospecting, DSP Remarketing), including efficient utilisation of budget during key CPD-owned and Amazon-led shopping events.
  • Pitch and present the media strategy to key stakeholders in brand, commercial, and cross-functional divisional meetings.
  • Ensure all the campaigns deliver a cohesive consumer journey, are aligned to strategic priorities around consumer acquisition and/or retention, and follow a consistent set-up (per media golden rules).
  • Work collaboratively with the brand and commercial teams to help define forecasting, meet KPIs, and generate incremental sales.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with Amazon Ads and our media agency and nurture a strong, collaborative partnership.
  • Working with the media agency, analyse performance data and provide strategic recommendations to gain insight and drive optimisation.
  • Be responsible for media reporting and deep dives for the brand/commercial teams – share relevant learnings with wider team (incl. DMI and Zone).
  • Constantly seek to innovate through strategies or technology. Test and scale new formats, media mix, and targeting, using data to lead decisions.
  • Manage internal Amazon media files, including budget block plans, competitor media tracking, SOV performance tracking, etc.
  • Work with the multi-div team to ensure fair arbitration on non-branded key search terms.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
