About the role:
As a Retail Operations Auditor at BP Oil UK Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational excellence and compliance of our retail sites. You will conduct thorough audits, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with partners to implement standard methodologies, ultimately enhancing customer experience and driving commercial success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive retail operational audits across various BP Oil UK Ltd sites, assessing adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Apply analytical thinking and customer data knowledge to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement in retail operations.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings, recommendations, and action plans for site managers and regional leadership.
  • Communicate audit findings effectively to diverse audiences, including communicating recommendations and facilitating discussions to gain agreement.
  • Support the implementation of Agility core practices within retail operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with site teams and regional management to develop and implement solutions that drive operational excellence and commercial acumen.
  • Leverage data visualization and interpretation skills to present complex operational data in an understandable and actionable format.
  • Engage in Digital Collaboration tools and practices to streamline audit processes and enhance communication across the retail network.
  • Apply industry knowledge and advocacy to ensure retail operations are aligned with relevant regulations and industry procedures.
  • Support retail territory development initiatives by providing operational insights and giving to strategic planning.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of retail training skills programs to improve operational performance and customer centric thinking among site staff.
  • Participate in negotiation planning and preparation for operational improvements and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain strong partner relationship management with various internal and external partners.

Job Qualifications:

  • Confirmed experience in retail operations, auditing, or a similar field.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated commercial foresight and an understanding of retail business drivers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • A strong customer centric thinking mentality with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
  • Proficiency in customer data knowledge and its application in operational improvement.
  • Experience with data visualization and interpretation tools and techniques.
  • Adept at digital collaboration tools and remote working practices.
  • Solid industry knowledge and advocacy within the retail or fuel sector.
  • Experience in negotiation planning and preparation.
  • A strong understanding of operational excellence principles and their application.
  • Proven ability in operations management and driving process improvements.
  • Experience in partner relationship management.
  • Knowledge of retail territory development strategies.
  • Possession of strong retail training skills and the ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
