Retail Director

Location: UK

We're partnering with a market-leading national retailer to appoint an exceptional Retail Director. This is a pivotal executive leadership role with full accountability for driving operational excellence across a large, complex customer-facing business.

This organisation is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation, investing heavily in its operating model, customer journey, and long-term performance. They are looking for a commercially minded operational leader who can simplify complexity, improve execution, and build a culture of accountability across a nationwide estate.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Executive Leadership Team, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end operational strategy, ensuring every stage of the customer journey is delivered consistently, efficiently, and profitably.

You'll work across stores, field operations, customer service, and supply chain, bringing these functions together into one high-performing operating model. This is a role for someone equally comfortable setting strategic direction as they are rolling up their sleeves to improve operational performance on the ground.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
