Retail Operations Manager, Global
About the Role
The Global Retail Operations Manager supports the Global Retail Operations Senior Director in driving operational excellence, consistency, and scalability across all regions. Acting as a key bridge between global strategy and regional execution, this role ensures stores operate efficiently, compliantly, and in line with brand standards worldwide. The position plays a critical role in embedding best-in-class processes, supporting global initiatives, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration to enhance store performance and customer experience at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Global Retail Operations Excellence
- Support the development and rollout of global retail operations processes, ensuring consistency and scalability across all markets.
- Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify ways of working.
- Support global change programmes, ensuring adoption of new tools, processes, and operational standards.
- Act as a key contact for regional teams, supporting resolution of operational challenges.
Global Strategy & Regional Execution
- Partner closely with the Global Retail Operations Director to translate strategy into clear execution plans.
- Coordinate with regional teams (EMEA, Americas, APAC, Middle East) to ensure consistent implementation of global initiatives.
- Track progress of key projects and highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities.
- Provide structured feedback and insights from regions to shape global strategy.

Store Lifecycle & Projects
- Support delivery of global store projects, including openings, refurbishments, relocations, and closures.
- Coordinate timelines, operational readiness, and cross-functional inputs to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure stores are fully prepared from an operational, systems, and process perspective.
Operational Support & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a central connector across Retail, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Inventory, HR, Loss Prevention, and Health & Safety.
- Support optimisation of store systems, POS, and digital tools in partnership with IT.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting.
- Streamline global store communications to ensure clarity and consistency.
Facilities, Suppliers & Cost Efficiency
- Support global approach to facilities, maintenance, and utilities, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Coordinate supplier performance, SLAs, and compliance across regions.
- Identify opportunities to drive cost efficiencies and improve service levels.
- Partner with Procurement and Finance to optimise operational spend.
Operational Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Support the implementation of global policies related to Loss Prevention, Health & Safety, and compliance.
- Ensure stores operate within legal and company standards across all regions.
- Contribute to risk mitigation strategies, including stock loss, security, and operational risks.

Reporting & Performance Insights
- Consolidate global retail operations reporting, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Analyse operational performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support leadership reporting with data-driven recommendations.
Profile
- Significant experience in retail operations within a multi-channel, international environment.
- Strong understanding of store operations, systems, and retail processes.
- Proven ability to support global projects and drive operational improvements at scale.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and retail systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence across regions and functions.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced global environment.
