About the Role
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience across retail, PR and the day-to-day operations of a growing fashion startup. You'll work directly alongside Alterist's CEO & Co-Founder, gaining first-hand insight into what it takes to build and scale a purpose-driven business.
Responsibilities
You'll gain experience in:
- PR outreach, including writing press pitches, media lists and campaign briefs
- Building relationships with influencers, journalists, stylists and industry partners
- Designer scouting, outreach and onboarding
- Writing blog content, email marketing campaigns and brand communications
- Supporting partnerships, collaborations and community initiatives
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of a fast-growing startup

Retail & Events
- Support customers and gain hands-on retail experience in the Alterist Concept Store.
- Assist with pop-ups, workshops, community events and brand activations.
- Opportunity to attend fashion industry events, networking evenings and brand launches alongside Alterist's CEO & Co-Founder.
Commitment
- 1–2 days per week, depending on your availability and the needs of the business.
- At least one day per week will be onsite in London Fields.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with designers, influencers and industry contacts
- A proactive, organised approach with great attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of projects
- An interest in PR, marketing, partnerships or business development
- A passion for fashion, sustainability and the circular economy
- A willingness to learn and get stuck into a fast-paced startup environment
