The Role
We are currently recruiting for a proactive and customer-focused Parts Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy parts department and retail showroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in parts, retail, or machinery who enjoys leading by example and delivering exceptional customer service.
Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring customers receive a first-class service. You will also act as the senior point of contact in the manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the parts department and showroom, allocating tasks where required.
- Deliver outstanding customer service both face-to-face and over the phone or email.
- Maintain high showroom standards, ensuring products are well presented, correctly priced, and fully stocked.
- Process customer orders, quotations, and sales efficiently.
- Source parts from suppliers and other branches to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate stock transfers and assist with stock control and regular stock checks.
- Process cash and card payments accurately and generate invoices.
- Identify opportunities to upsell products, accessories, and promotions.
- Assist with goods in/out, including loading, unloading, and packing deliveries.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Keep up to date with new products through supplier training and product updates.
- Support departmental targets and contribute to the overall success of the business.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a parts department, retail, or showroom environment.
- Sales experience with a customer-focused and target-driven approach.
- Knowledge of groundcare or similar machinery and products.
- Experience with stock control and inventory management.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
- Good IT skills, including experience using email and stock or sales systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible attitude with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- A professional approach to handling confidential information.
