Description

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, fast-paced People Team as a Retail People Partner.

In this role, you will work closely with Regional and Store Managers to support the delivery of the people plan across your region. You’ll play a key role in driving engagement, supporting managers, and ensuring consistent, high-quality people practices, while continuing to develop your own capability in a business-partnering environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step into a business partnering role and build experience in coaching, employee relations, and commercially focused people support within a dynamic retail setting.

This is a field-based role supporting stores across the Southern Division, covering the West Midlands, Anglia, South West & Wales, and South East regions. The role requires regular travel throughout these regions.

What does the role involve?

  • Regularly visit stores to support managers with day-to-day people challenges
  • Coach and guide managers to build confidence in managing performance, absence, and conduct
  • Partner with Regional and Store Managers to deliver the People agenda
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple retail sites
  • Provide support on employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management (with guidance where needed)
  • Use people data (e.g. absence, turnover) to identify trends and inform action planning
  • Support the implementation of engagement initiatives and people-focused projects
  • Assist with organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning activities
  • Collaborate with the wider People team to ensure a joined-up approach
  • Support delivery of key People projects across the retail division
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and people-focused culture

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
