Job Title: Retail Performance Manager

Purpose of the Position:

  • To maximise income and maintain regard for asset value, as required by the Centre Manager and Multi-Realm Head Office.
  • To maintain at all times the requisite level of customer and occupier satisfaction.
  • To assist the Centre Manager with the implementation of the overall strategy including the Business Plan and day-to-day operational aspects associated with the management of the Centre.

Main Accountabilities and Duties:

  • Assist the Centre Manager to develop strong relationships with tenants to maximise income and ensure that they maximise their sales potential.
  • Analyse and report on retailer performance and sales data to identify trends and growth opportunities with the capability to present and report on findings to clients and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate strategies with underperforming brands in order to drive footfall and revenue.
  • Assist the Centre Management team with the development and implementation of innovative on-site and local marketing and PR activity aimed at maximising customer spending and increasing levels of footfall in accordance with the marketing plan for the Centre.
  • In conjunction with the Centre Manager, seek to instigate income-generating promotional activity, whilst maintaining the standards and overall positioning of the centre.
  • Assist the Centre Manager in the preparation, implementation and management of Service Charge budgets, ensuring that appropriate service levels are provided to deliver best and sustainable value for money.
  • Maintain a detailed awareness of all existing and impending Statutory Requirements that could affect the asset, or Multi-Realm’s responsibilities as an employer, and assist with the implementation of appropriate systems to protect/enhance asset value and minimise risks and liabilities.
  • Maintain effective and harmonious relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Assist the Centre Manager to ensure that any actions of any tenant, supplier, service provider or employee are carefully vetted and monitored to minimise the risk of such actions having a detrimental effect on the asset.
  • Liaise with the Centre Manager and Multi-Realm Head Office in relation to new projects / refurbishments / extensions and in providing advice and input in relation to operational strategies and fully involve all relevant parts of the business as appropriate (Finance, Management Information, Projects, etc).
  • Adhere at all times to procedures, including the policing and maintenance of management records and routines, at all times having particular regard to all operating guidelines.
  • To work with the Centre Manager and Head Office personnel to continually raise the effectiveness and performance of the Centre team.
  • To maintain at all times the requisite level of customer and occupier satisfaction, maximisation of income and regard to asset value.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable duties that may be requested by the Centre Manager.

Work Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in retail management, shopping centre, or a multi-site retail role (essential).
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with sales and performance data (essential).
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify revenue generating opportunities (essential).
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills (essential).
  • The ability to work cross functionally with teams across leasing, marketing and operations (essential).

Qualifications/Training Required:

  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as proficiency in the use of more specialist CRM packages (essential).
  • Knowledge of retail products, trends and services (essential).
  • Understanding of sales and customer service principles (desirable).
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities (desirable).
