Can you balance competing deadlines, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain a sharp eye for detail while working directly with key clients?

We are seeking a Retail Promotions Executive to join us on a 9-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of retail promotional activity across a portfolio of market-leading magazine titles. Working closely with the Retail National Account team, you will help manage key retail accounts by providing efficient, timely, and accurate administrative support. You’ll help keep promotional activity running smoothly by coordinating bookings, POS activity, invoicing, reporting, and key updates across the business.

This is a busy, varied role where strong organisation, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills will be key. You will work with internal and external teams, including publisher production teams, our primary carrier, and our internal wholesale team, to help ensure titles reach shelves on time and promotional activity runs smoothly.

We offer an informal hybrid working model, with a minimum of 8 office days every 4 weeks.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage retail promotional plans and client bookings, ensuring activity is accurately recorded and delivered on time.
  • Coordinate promotional activity, POS materials, and merchandising programs in line with retailer deadlines.
  • Work with retail accounts, suppliers, and external partners to support promotional campaigns, approvals, and invoicing.
  • Monitor trade marketing spend and maintain key promotional systems and retail information.
  • Support customer meetings, range reviews, and promotional planning activity, providing updates and coordinating actions.
  • Produce reports, analyse promotional performance, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate store visit activity and share updates with publisher and customer-facing teams.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Retail Promotions Manager across a range of retail marketing initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
