The Whisky Shop is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for our flagship Piccadilly store. This is an exciting role at the heart of the UK’s leading specialist whisky retailer. We are looking for a commercially minded candidate with experience in luxury or premium retailing, ideally in the drinks industry.

This role requires someone who can drive sales, build meaningful relationships, and deliver a consistently high standard of in-store experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the day-to-day operations of the Piccadilly flagship store, ensuring a seamless, elevated customer journey at all times
  • Be part of a high-performing team, ensuring excellence in customer service, product knowledge, and sales execution
  • Deliver ‘approachable’ luxury hosting, including customer welcome, storytelling, upselling, and closing high-value sales
  • Contribute and participate in store events, positioning Piccadilly as a destination for premium experiences and as a hub for our London-based Loyalty programme Members.
  • Deliver strong sales performance, high store standards, visual merchandising, and stock management in line with our brand expectations

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail or hospitality role within luxury retail or premium environments
  • Natural salesperson with the ability to engage, upsell, and close across a diverse, high-value clientele
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and WhatsApp, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
  • Passion for premium whisky and spirits, with a desire learn more and to create exceptional customer experiences

Salary from £29,000 depending on experience - Full time position.
