Position Summary:
This role is responsible for calling on assigned dealers to assist them in achieving expected sales levels and work with them to implement sales and promotional activity for Steinway, Boston and Essex pianos, within their respective markets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support Dealers in managing inventories to ensure they maintain a well-balanced model inventory in showroom condition
- Support promotional planning for assigned Dealers, including implementation of the Steinway annual promotional calendar
- Partner with dealers to develop and document sales plans and promotional activities
- Prepare follow up reports to document decisions and action items
- Conduct follow up meetings to review results and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide sales support, coaching and training to enhance sales results
- Coach dealers on use of our recommended CRM system to manage customer communications
- Liaise with Dealers on all key components of Steinway sales, including but not limited to Concert & Artist activities, Service & Technical Support, Merchandising, Sales Training and Product Knowledge, Promotional Planning and Execution, Institutional Sales, Inventory planning and orders.
- Oversee dealer-related activities, formalized communications and achievement of sales targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent on the job experience in business, customer service, luxury sales or the arts
- 5+ years of strong piano sales management experience is required.
- Outstanding business development and sales management skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Superior communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Strong follow-up and documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and drive new business
- Piano or music experience / background required
- Note: Extensive travel (up to 50%) is required for this role. Must live nearby major airport.
Position Summary:
This Technical Support Administrator will provide technical assistance and support to dealers, piano technicians and customers owning Steinway family of pianos, including Steinway & Sons, Spirio, Boston and Essex. This role requires a highly organized, detailed individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills that can effectively resolve technical issues and represent the Steinway & Sons brands of pianos.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical telephone and e-mail support to dealers, technicians, and piano owners
- Troubleshoot technical obstacles and provide appropriate guidance for a resolution
- Accurately determine factory warranty authorizations for field repair or replacement
- Administer warranty claim costs, generate reports and communicate with production staff on trends
- Provide historical piano information and answer general information inquiries
- Assist with factory tours
- Other duties as required to support department and company initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience and deep knowledge in servicing Steinway & Sons pianos, including Spirio, is required.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to determine customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Knowledge of SPIRIO design and service to effectively communicate with field service personnel
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Organizational skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Previous piano service training or employment with Steinway in piano service is a plus

Salary Description
$50-55k
Position Summary:
Steinway & Sons is currently seeking experienced sales talent with a passion for luxury and a love of the arts, for our company-owned showroom in Hinsdale, Illinois in the Chicago market.
The right candidate has a proven track record in a proactive approach to sales, with past experience in business development, lead generating activities and generating sales prospects. The candidate must have an outgoing and engaging personality who can engage and build relationships with clients on many different levels. While the ability to play piano is not a requirement for the job, it is highly preferred; musical and tonal understanding is required as our clients often seek guidance and recommendations during instrument selections. In addition to focusing on showroom sales, a large part of this job will involve outreach and business development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Achieve personal sales goals and support store in achieving goals
- Develop sales strategy and forecasts for customer/client base
- Develop and cultivate customer leads and relationships
- Implement a sales referral outreach program for key influencers (i.e. piano technicians, real estate agents, designers, piano teachers, etc.)
- Coordinate all piano technical needs after sale follow up (tuning, etc.) and in store as needed
- Use the CRM system to manage and follow up with leads
- Support all in store and regional promotional events (generating and cultivating sales)
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
These are commission-based sales roles with average annualized earnings of $80,000-130,000 for successful employees, with uncapped earnings potential. Hired employees will receive a semi-monthly draw, sales commission for units sold and other performance-based bonuses and are eligible to participate in robust benefits package on first day including medical, dental, vision, FSAs, generous 401k contribution, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, professional development, and more.

This full-time position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about music and interested in contributing to a globally recognized luxury brand at the intersection of music, branding, and the arts.
Approximately 50% of this role will involve direct administrative and operational support to the President and Vice President of Retail, while the remaining responsibilities will focus on marketing and sales support initiatives, including social media coordination, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement efforts.
