The Company:
Our client is a rapidly growing retail business with multiple locations across the UK. They focus on delivering an exceptional in-store experience, combining high-quality products with excellent customer service. The business prides itself on a modern, dynamic culture and invests in its teams to drive continuous growth and development.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead one of our busy locations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, managing a team of sales ambassadors, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a motivated retail professional with a proven track record of driving sales and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets
- Source new business locally through proactive marketing activities
- Own the end-to-end in-store customer journey and ensure the store environment supports this
- Manage seasonal shop development and store layout changes effectively
- Plan and execute local footfall initiatives including product demonstrations, promotions, and marketing campaigns
- Recruit, onboard, and continuously develop the retail team through coaching, mentoring, and regular check-ins
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve their full potential
- Define team and store KPIs and drive performance to meet sales and profitability goals
- Maintain in-store stock levels, conduct regular stock takes, and manage inventory
- Report regularly to senior management on trading performance and key metrics
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe retail environment
- Monitor and improve consumer review metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Care, Warehousing & Logistics, Marketing, and e-Commerce to enhance sales and customer experience

- Calm, confident, and enthusiastic approach to leadership
- Strong retail leadership skills with experience motivating and influencing a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using MS Office, email, VOIP systems, and back-office retail platforms
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
- Experience improving processes and driving operational efficiency
- Proven people management experience, with a track record of developing teams through coaching and mentoring
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
