Retail Sales Manager | Fashion Retail | Lakeside | Up to £31,000 + Benefits

Retail Manager | Store Manager | Assistant Manager | Floor Manager | Visual Merchandising

Zachary Daniels is proud to be recruiting for a Retail Sales Manager for a fast-paced and fashion-forward retail business based at Lakeside.

This is a great opportunity for a commercially driven retail manager who has a strong eye for Visual Merchandising (VM) and understands how store presentation, product placement, and customer experience can directly influence sales.

We're looking for someone who can lead from the front - driving sales, KPIs, and team performance, while taking real ownership of the visual standards and commercial presentation of the store.

You don't need to be a dedicated VM to be successful in this role. We're particularly interested in Retail Managers, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, Floor Managers, and Department Managers who have a genuine passion for VM and a strong understanding of how to make a store commercially impactful.

What You'll Get

  • Salary up to £31,000
  • Staff discount
  • Online healthcare services
  • Pension
  • Holiday allowance including bank holidays
  • Opportunity to develop within a fast-paced fashion retail environment

The Role

As Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching, and inspiring the store team to deliver sales, KPI, and customer service targets
  • Taking ownership of the store's Visual Merchandising and commercial presentation
  • Ensuring VM guidelines are implemented effectively while using your own commercial judgement to maximise sales
  • Creating an inspiring and engaging customer journey through product placement, styling, layout, and presentation
  • Driving sales and analysing KPIs to identify opportunities and improve performance
  • Maintaining consistently high standards across VM, product, operations, and customer experience
  • Leading by example on the shop floor and creating a high-energy, customer-focused environment
  • Coaching and developing your team through regular one-to-ones, feedback, and performance management
  • Supporting succession planning and developing future talent
  • Managing day-to-day retail operations, stock, and product availability
  • Working commercially with your team to maximise opportunities across the store
  • Ensuring the store consistently reflects the brand's image and standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
