Kingdom Group are a key partner to Tesco Supermarkets, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Royal Southend Express, SS1 1DQ.

£13.47 per hour

Hours

0 - 48 Hours Per Week

Shift Pattern

  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • 12:00 - 22:00
  • 15:00 - 23:00
  • Flexi role, working as and when required to support the business

About The Role

As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors. You will provide a professional and visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing a visible security presence and deterrent within the store
  • Conducting regular patrols of the premises
  • Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
  • Responding professionally to incidents and security concerns
  • Completing accurate reports and incident documentation
  • Assisting customers and colleagues when required
  • Working closely with store management and the wider security team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A professional and confident approach
  • Good observational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to remain calm and make balanced decisions under pressure
  • Previous retail security experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • A full five-year checkable employment history
