Retail Security Officer (Part-Time)
Location: LIDL Evesham
Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Pay: Competitive Rate (Dependent on Experience)
About The Role
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at LIDL Evesham on a part-time basis, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week.
This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and understands the importance of balancing effective security with excellent customer service. In addition to the contracted hours at LIDL Evesham, additional overtime opportunities will be available across sites within the Worcester area for those looking to increase their earnings and gain exposure to a variety of retail locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly visible and professional security presence within the store.
- Deter theft, fraud, stock loss, and anti-social behaviour.
- Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports.
- Support store management with loss prevention initiatives.
- Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers where appropriate.
- Monitor suspicious activity and report concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Ensure all security duties are carried out in line with company policies and client requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Previous retail security experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention and crime reduction within a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal professionally with challenging situations and difficult individuals.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Flexible approach to working additional shifts within the Worcester area when available.

Technical Skills
The successful candidate must be confident using technology and digital reporting systems, including:
- Incident reporting and case management platforms.
- Mobile devices and tablets for reporting and communication.
- CCTV and security monitoring systems.
- Digital evidence collection and electronic report submission.
- Microsoft Outlook and other workplace communication tools.
- Internal compliance and security management systems.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Retail Security Officer who is professional, approachable, and proactive. The successful candidate will understand the importance of customer engagement while maintaining a strong focus on safety, security, and loss prevention.
You will be capable of producing high-quality reports, using digital security systems confidently, and working effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
