Location: Trinity Square Shopping Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1AG
Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-Time Permanent
About The Role
Kingdom Group is looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at Trinity Square Shopping Centre, Gateshead, NE8 1AG.
As a key member of the security team, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, retailers, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre.
Shift Pattern
You will work 40 hours per week on a rota covering Monday to Sunday.
Shift Times:
- 15:00 to 23:00
- Working 5 to 6 days per week as required by the business.
- Flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and highly visible security presence throughout the shopping centre.
- Deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other security-related incidents.
- Conduct regular patrols of the centre and surrounding areas.
- Respond to incidents calmly, professionally, and in line with company procedures.
- Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
- Assist retailers, visitors, and members of the public with enquiries.
- Complete accurate incident reports and relevant documentation.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at all times.
- Work closely with centre management and colleagues to support operational requirements.

What We're Looking For
- A Valid SIA Licence Is Essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, confident, and reliable approach.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous security or retail security experience is desirable but not essential.
