Retail Security Officer
Location: LIDL Bromsgrove
Hours: 5 days a week including weekend work
Pay: Competitive Rate
About The Role
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at LIDL Bromsgrove. This is a key role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a visible security presence, preventing theft and anti-social behaviour, responding to incidents, and supporting the store team in providing an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a professional and visible presence throughout the store.
- Deterring theft, stock loss, and anti-social behaviour.
- Conducting regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
- Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Producing accurate and detailed incident reports.
- Working closely with store management and colleagues to support day-to-day operations.
- Delivering excellent customer service and assisting customers when required.
- Monitoring security systems and CCTV in accordance with company procedures.
- Escalating issues and concerns appropriately.
Essential Requirements
- Previous security experience within a retail environment.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
- Strong understanding of retail loss prevention and conflict management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and confident approach to customer interaction.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Strong observation skills with attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.

- Completing incident reports using online reporting platforms.
