About The Role
We are currently recruiting for Security Officers (SIA Door Supervisors) to join our team at Poundstretcher, Croydon, CR0 1RB. This is an excellent opportunity for professional, customer-focused security personnel looking for a permanent role within a supportive and growing organisation.

Position 1
- Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday
- Shifts:
- Monday to Saturday: 12:00 - 20:00
- Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00
Position 2
- Hours: 24 Hours Per Week
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday
- Shifts:
- Monday to Saturday: 12:00 - 20:00
- Sunday: 10:00 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the store.
- Conduct regular patrols and monitor activity within the premises.
- Prevent theft, loss, damage, and anti-social behaviour.
- Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Complete Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries and incident reports accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to customers and visitors.
- Build positive relationships with store colleagues and management.
- Support stock protection and loss prevention initiatives.
- Monitor and report health and safety issues where required.
- Handle conflict situations professionally and effectively.
- Ensure all security procedures and company policies are followed at all times.
- Liaise with emergency services and management when necessary.

Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
- Own transport is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, confident, and approachable manner.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Full five-year checkable employment history.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Previous retail security experience.
- Experience dealing with shoplifting incidents and loss prevention.
- Knowledge of retail security procedures and incident reporting.
- Experience within a customer-facing environment.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and professional SIA Door Supervisor with excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to security. You will be confident interacting with members of the public, store colleagues, and management while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Previous retail security experience would be advantageous, although full support and ongoing training will be provided.
