Retail Security Officer (Relief) - Tesco Partnership
Location: Station Street, Nottingham (NG2 3AJ)
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week (Flexi Contract)
Shifts: Monday to Sunday, including early and late shifts
Start/Finish Times: Earliest start 06:00 | Latest finish 00:00
Requirement: Valid SIA Licence and own transport essential
About The Role
Kingdom Group, in partnership with Tesco, is seeking a professional and flexible Retail Security Officer to provide relief cover across multiple Tesco locations within Nottingham City Centre and surrounding areas.
You will provide a visible security presence, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and store assets while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol and monitor premises to maintain safety and security
- Prevent theft, damage, and unauthorised access
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Monitor CCTV systems and report suspicious activity
- Control access for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Complete incident reports and daily records accurately
- Provide professional customer service and assistance
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Liaise with emergency services when required
- Support store management and colleagues as needed

Relief Cover & Flexibility Requirements
This is a Flexi Contract position providing relief cover for holidays, sickness, and other operational absences across multiple Tesco stores.
You may be required to work across the following locations:
- Station Street, Nottingham - NG2 3AJ
- Alfreton Road - NG7 5NH
- Ilkeston Road - NG7 3EA
- Castle Boulevard - NG7 1SA
- Other Tesco stores within Nottingham City Centre
The successful candidate must be able to travel and work within a 10-15 mile radius of the locations listed above.
This role is for relief cover only until a core position becomes available, and flexibility is required to meet business needs across all assigned locations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Licence
- Full 5-year checkable work history
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable, and confident approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Previous security experience desirable but not essential
- Own vehicle and ability to travel between locations
