Retail Security Officer- Asda
Pay rate: £13.10 per hour
Hours: Mornings, evenings and weekends
Location: Asda Shrewsbury
Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.
Objectives And Responsibilities
- Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
- To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
- Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
- To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
- To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
- Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers
Main Duties
- To deliver industry leading customer service
- To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
- To deter violence and public order offences
- To conduct patrols of the store
- Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
- Liaise with the store management teams
- To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
- Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
- To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety

Who are we looking for?
- Experience of delivering Customer Service
- Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal
- Adaptable communication style to meet the needs of different people groups
- Ability to work in a fast-moving services business
- Capability in the use of technology
- Good attention to detail
- High level of enthusiasm and passion
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential
