We are seeking an energetic, dedicated and experienced Senior Store Manager to oversee the varied daily operations of our flagship Eton store.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and administrative skills and a proven track record in operating a busy retail store. As a Senior Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our store runs smoothly and provides exceptional customer service. We provide a supportive and friendly environment in all our stores.

The Company

The Company was established in 1896 and operates three successful high street stores, located in Eton, Chiswick and Harrow on the Hill. Be part of the Country’s leading school uniform retailers working with over 40 prominent schools, such as Eton College and Harrow School. Our Company is going through a period of expansion and has recently been awarded with numerous new school uniform provider contracts for 2026.

This person would need to be hands-on, supportive of the Directors of the company, and possess a deep understanding of retail, logistics, stock management and web fulfilment. During the period June to early September the role would involve delivering high levels of personal service to our discerning customers through this peak trading period.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily retail operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and lead a team of associates, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our stakeholders, including our client schools and suppliers.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, stock storage, ordering, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
  • Engage with customers to resolve any issues or complaints promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise workload efficiently.
  • Strong administrative skills for managing reports, budgets, and operational documentation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Passion for sales with a track record of achieving targets in a retail environment.
